The Penn-Delco Board of School Directors unanimously approved the hiring of Christa L. Palladino as the next principal of Pennell Elementary School in Aston, Pa. during their meeting on Wednesday, January 26, 2022.

Palladino comes to Penn-Delco from the Marple Newtown School District where she serves as an Assistant Principal. Prior to her assignment in Marple Newtown, she worked with the Upper Darby School District as a teacher, dean, and school administrator.  A graduate of both West Chester University (Bachelor of Science in Education and Communication Studies) and Temple University (Masters of Education), she is also certified for Educational Leadership by Cabrini College.

“I’m thrilled to introduce Christa Palladino to the Pennell Elementary School Community and as the latest new member of the Penn-Delco Administrative Team,” said Superintendent Dr. George Steinhoff.

“Mrs. Palladino brings a high level of enthusiasm and proven leadership skills to the important position of Elementary School Principal. A lifelong educator, her proven experiences as a talented teacher and a school administrator in the Upper Darby and Marple-Newtown School Districts will inform her work as she collaborates and leads a terrific staff," he said.

"We see Christa as an effective communicator, caring and kind, with a vision for leading a rigorous yet fun and engaging school environment, who will collaborate with staff and parents to meet our key goals at Pennell and within Penn-Delco. I look forward to introducing her to the Pennell School Community when she begins her time working with Team Pennell.”

Palladino is looking forward to joining the strong Pennell Elementary community to listen, learn, and lead.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to lead Pennell Elementary School,” she said. “It is an honor to be able to work with such an amazing group of professionals and dedicated families.”

Palladino recognizes that the Pennell community is committed to student outcomes and success and plans to continue the efforts made by the Pennell team, past and present, to expand those efforts.

“I can see that Pennell is a great school; I know that with my support and energy we can continue efforts toward student growth and success.  With an exceptional staff, I plan to continue to promote rigorous and engaging lessons while developing our sense of Pennell Pride through fun and productive events and school-wide projects. Recognizing that every student is unique, I will work diligently with my team to meet the diverse needs of each child”.

Principal Palladino will begin her first day at Pennell on March 23, 2022.
