The State Department of Education recently released school and state level
results from the 2015 Pennsylvania System of School Assessment.
PSSA’s in math and language arts are taken by students in grades 3 to 8th.
Science PSSA’s are taken by students in grades 4 to 8th.
Pennsylvania adopted more rigorous PA Core Standards in late 2013 and the
2015 PSSA marks the first time the assessment was fully-aligned to the
standards. As a result of these new standards, state officials have noted
that student assessment scores in some districts may be poorer than last year.
Below is a letter from Dr. Steinhoff that was send home to parents further outlining this years PSSA results. Additionally, a letter from the PA Secretary of Education and a helpful fact sheet are below for your convenience.
Should you have any questions about the latest PSSA results, or need additional information, please contact your student's principal, or our Assistant Superintendent, Mr. Rick Gregg at firstname.lastname@example.org
