A letter from Dr. Steinhoff regarding last school day

A Message to Penn-Delco School District Parents and Guardians,

It is truly hard to believe that the 2018-2019 school year will be drawing to a close in less than two months. It has been a tremendously productive year in Penn-Delco, but certainly one that is passing quickly.

I am writing today to inform you that the last day of school for students has been changed from Friday, June 14, to Thursday, June 13, 2019.  District teaching staff will be working that Friday to participate in professional development activities and required training that we would like to have completed ahead of the start of next school year.

As with the original schedule, students will have the same planned early dismissal time on the new final day of school. With this change, the district will still meet its required number of school days since we did not use all of the emergency closing days built into our calendar.

As always, I thank you for your support of the Penn-Delco School District and hope you and your children enjoy some of the many fine end-of-year activities that occur in our schools in May and June.

Sincerely Yours,
Dr. George Steinhoff
