SV Students Recognized in National Merit Scholarship Program

Congratulations to Sun Valley High School’s three Commended Students in the 2026 National Merit Scholarship Program: Nicholas DelGiorno, Amos Fayehun, and John Saunders!

The National Merit Scholarship Program honors students with exceptional academic achievement. Of the 50,000 top scorers nationwide, approximately 34,000 earn the distinction of Commended Student based on a national qualifying score. These students receive a Letter of Commendation in recognition of their outstanding academic potential.

While Commended Students do not continue in the competition for National Merit Scholarships, some may become eligible for other Special Scholarships.
