FCCLA Surprise Crossing Guards with Homemade Cookies

FCCLA Surprise Crossing Guards with Homemade Cookies

Sun Valley High School's Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) members, under the guidance of advisor Mrs. Grady, once again showed their appreciation for the community’s crossing guards with a sweet surprise.

Over the course of four weeks, students prepared cookie dough as part of their FCCLA activities, learning planning, teamwork, and time management along the way. The cookies were baked on December 16 and delivered on the morning of December 18 to crossing guards throughout the communities of Aston, Brookhaven, and Parkside, with transportation provided by Director of Transportation, Mr. Groer.

The annual gesture is a way for students to recognize the important role crossing guards play in keeping students and families safe each day, while also spreading a little cheer.

Thank you to our crossing guards for all you do to support our schools and community.
