Northley Teacher Named Sun East “Best Teacher Under the Sun”

Northley Middle School 6th-grade math teacher Mrs. Colleen Miller has been named a Sun East Federal Credit Union “Best Teacher Under the Sun” for the 2025-2026 school year!

Representatives from Sun East visited Northley on June 4 to surprise Mrs. Miller with this special recognition. She was presented with a plaque and a $500 award, and Northley Middle School also received $500 in honor of her achievement.

Mrs. Miller was nominated by Northley Principal Mr. Shivone for her outstanding dedication to her students and her ability to create a positive, supportive learning environment. Her commitment to inspiring and motivating students is reflected in their academic growth, increased confidence, and the strong sense of community she helps build each day.
