A New Chapter Begins for the Class of 2030

Northley Middle School celebrated the Class of 2030 on June 11 with its 8th Grade Moving Up Ceremony, recognizing students as they completed their middle school journey and prepared to become Sun Valley High School Vanguards.

The ceremony opened with welcoming remarks from Northley Principal Mr. Justin Shivone, followed by a welcome to Sun Valley High School from Sun Valley Principal Mr. John Paul Roskos. Superintendent Dr. George Steinhoff also shared congratulatory remarks.

The Northley Middle School 8th Grade Choir provided a musical interlude, performing “Here Comes the Sun” as part of the celebration.

Throughout the ceremony, students were recognized for their achievements in academics, the arts, athletics, leadership, and citizenship. Community partners, including the Aston Lioness Club, Aston Lions Club, Brookhaven Fire Department, Aston Police Department, Central League Athletic Association, and the Penn-Delco Education Association, helped honor students for their accomplishments and character.

The ceremony concluded with the recognition of the entire Class of 2030 as students officially celebrated their transition from Northley Vikings to Sun Valley Vanguards.
