Penn-Delco Sweeps 2024 “Best Teacher Under the Sun” Awards

We are proud to announce that Penn-Delco educators have swept all three categories of the 2024 “Best Teacher Under the Sun” Awards presented by Sun East Federal Credit Union, with winners at the elementary, middle, and high school levels.

The winners are:

• Lauren Mongada - Parkside Elementary School
• Christa Ventura - Northley Middle School
• Madison Starinieri - Sun Valley High School

The “Best Teacher Under the Sun” Award honors educators who demonstrate excellence in their daily classroom work, special projects, and efforts to inspire students to achieve their full potential. Each teacher received a $500 award, and their schools also received $500 in recognition of their outstanding dedication.

Representatives from Sun East Federal Credit Union visited each school May 27 to surprise our winners with the award in person, celebrating their achievements with our school communities.
