Penn-Delco Students Celebrate International Dot Day

Students across Penn-Delco joined in the celebration of International Dot Day, a global event inspired by Peter H. Reynolds’ children’s book The Dot. The story encourages students to be brave enough to “make their mark,” sparking creativity, courage, and confidence.

Throughout the district, classrooms engaged in activities that reminded students that one small dot can be the start of something big. At Aston and Coebourn Elementary Schools, students created colorful dot-inspired artwork and explored how even the simplest mark can lead to self-discovery and new ideas.

International Dot Day, celebrated annually on September 15, is a day to recognize the power of creativity, collaboration, and kindness. From button-making to dot masterpieces, Penn-Delco students embraced the message of the book: believe in yourself and share your unique gifts with the world.
