Penn-Delco Staff Gather for Back to School Celebration

Penn-Delco Staff Gather for Back to School Celebration

After two days of teacher in-service, Penn-Delco officially launched the 2025-26 school year with the annual Back to School Kickoff Assembly for staff on August 28.

The event began with a moving performance of the national anthem by Aston 5th grader Grayson Zebley, followed by our longest tenured teacher, Maureen Irving, ringing in the new year.

Staff then heard welcoming remarks from School Board President Leon Armour, PDEA President Keith Henning, and Superintendent Dr. George Steinhoff, who shared updates on the district’s Portrait of a Graduate and the important work ahead this year.

The celebration also included recognition of employees celebrating 10 and 20 years of service, honoring their dedication and contributions to Penn-Delco students and schools.

This year’s keynote speaker, Suzanne Dailey, delivered an uplifting presentation titled Recapture Your Joy and Rediscover Your Purpose, energizing staff as they prepared for the year ahead.

To cap off the morning, a fun Hot Ones-inspired audience participation activity brought laughter and excitement to the program.

Penn-Delco is proud to begin another year of learning, growth, and achievement for students across the district.
