Coebourn Students Lead with Purpose During Schoolwide Day of Service

As part of Coebourn School’s Leader in Me initiative, students participated in a schoolwide Day of Service on the morning of January 16, putting leadership into action through hands-on projects designed to support the local community.

Students worked collaboratively on a variety of service activities benefiting organizations and individuals in need. Projects included assembling care items for neighbors experiencing homelessness, creating meal kits for a local food pantry, and preparing toiletry bags with encouraging messages. Students also supported the Brookhaven Fire Department by making blankets for use on emergency calls and writing thank-you notes for first responders.

Additional efforts focused on animal rescues, where students decorated “Adopt Me” bandanas and created dog toys, as well as nursing home residents, who will receive decorated cups filled with small treats and positive messages.

Through each activity, students demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and compassion. Coebourn’s Day of Service provided students with an opportunity to make a meaningful impact while learning the value of giving back to others.
