Welcome to the 2022-23 school year at Aston Elementary School! We are excited about another school year, and we look forward to supporting and educating your children academically, emotionally, and socially. Our goal is for our students to succeed and excel during the formative elementary years. This is best achieved through teamwork; we strive to create a partnership in which students, staff, and families work together to support, teach, and challenge students to help them become the best they can be.
Aston Elementary School provides a vigorous curriculum in all content areas, including Math, Reading, Writing, Science, and Social Studies. We offer a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) which includes interventions to fill gaps as well as provide enrichment opportunities based on individual student needs. We integrate the arts - Music, Art, PE, and Technology, into the student day. Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) is an extremely important component in the successful development of our elementary students. Led by our PBIS team and guidance counselor, SEL is provided for the students at all elementary levels.
Everyday lessons, activities, and integrated technology are provided and prepare students to be ready for life. The five components (the 5 C's) the district has deemed essential for all students to fully develop by graduation are communication, critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and character. These skills are imperative to succeed not just in school, but in life, and we begin working on these skills in kindergarten.
