Your child's health and safety is important

  • We were thrilled to welcome your child back to the classroom. Please us this section to update you and your child with the health and safety protocols necessary to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

From daily health screenings at home, to mandatory masking, to washing and social distancing, you and your child are asked to work with our administrators, teachers, and staff to create the safest environment possible for everyone to stay in the classroom buildings.

Please take the time to review these guidelines here at the website or download the PDF for reference for returning to the classroom.  We ask that you work with your child to learn, practice, and remember them. The parent health and safety video will also be helpful in learning new expectations for families and students.

Be assured that your child will also regularly experience health and safety guidance in the classroom. A Health and Safety Video specifically produced for our returning students was shared and their principals and teachers will offer them the age appropriate reminders they need to learn and remember safety protocols.

In the event there is a case of COVID-19 reported in your school, Penn-Delco School District will follow the Chester County Health Department (CCHD) guidelines for reporting.  You will be notified when a case is diagnosed in our school.  Additionally, we will follow the CCHD guidelines to determine appropriate steps for contact tracing/quarantine etc.

As always, thank you for your support as we follow health department and state mandates on safely returning to school. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to your building principals as we finally open our doors to students.
