Great to be back at the Northley Learning Center. I have been fortunate to drop in classrooms and see students make the most of this unique time in education. They have been patient, kind and doing their best. We have had some connectivity issues, some device problems, but overall we are pleased with the start to 20-21.
We will be handing out math books for 7th and 8th grade honors students. Parents can begin picking up books Monday 9 am to 4 pm and Tuesday 9 am to 4 pm. Also, if your student has not returned their Math book from last year (7th grade honors and Algebra I), you may drop it off when you pick up this year’s text.
Unfortunately, the workbooks for the rest of the math classes have yet to arrive.
We are waiting for the math workbooks for all students to arrive. When they do we will immediately set up a distribution time for 6-8. In the meantime, teachers are using on line books until the hardcopies are available.
Happy to announce our 20-21 Northley PTL Board, voted in on Wednesday.

Northley Fall Sports Announcement
The Central League Middle School Sports Association has postponed all Fall sports this season. As a member of the Central League for all middle school sports, Northley has postponed all fall sports activities.
The decision by the Central League was based on the Chester County Department of Health’s recommendation that no competitions be played until January 1, 2021. All schools in Chester and Delaware Counties fall under the CCHD’s umbrella and are following the recommendations.
We will continue to monitor information from the CCHD and we will adjust our plan accordingly. Information will be posted when updates occur.
It is recommended that potential Northley student/athletes complete a PIAA Sports Physical so that it is on file when sports return. The form can be found under the Athletics page under the form tab.
If you have any further questions regarding Northley sports, please contact the Athletic Department.
Northley Parent Teacher League
The Northley PTL is really looking forward to the 2020-2021 school year. The PTL plans to continue to enhance our students’ education with the important programs and activities we have developed over the years and we look forward to adapting what we can with the current Covid situation.
This year, to meet our budget needs, the PTL’s major source of income will come from our membership dues, donations and fundraising. We are asking each family to donate the $10.00 membership dues. The PTL strives to allocate our funds for the enrichment of our students.
We hope that you will help us continue to serve our students by completing the information below and submitting the $10.00 membership dues to Northley PTL. We look forward to lots of new faces at our PTL meetings throughout the school year. PTL meetings are held the first Wednesday of the month at 6:30 pm in the school library when we are able and via ZOOM or Video Conference. Whether online or in person, the meetings are a great way to meet fellow parents, learn about events, opportunities and school happenings. The first meeting of the 2020-2021 school year is Wednesday, September 9that 6:30pm.
So happy that students were finally able to view their schedules today. It is exciting for middle school students. If you are having difficulty accessing Skyward and have not heard back from the help desk, please reach out to us at the Northley Office.
