Flexible Instruction Days

The 2024-2025 instructional calendar outlines the number of student days scheduled for the year. We also recognize that unforeseen circumstances, such as inclement weather, could disrupt that schedule.

When conditions prevent in-person learning, Penn-Delco may implement Flexible Instruction Days (FIDs) to allow students and teachers to continue learning from home. In anticipation of a flexible learning day due to potential weather, elementary students may be asked to bring their computers home (only after the two planned days are exhausted).

The 2024-2025 flexible learning day schedule for Penn-Delco is listed below (updated January 2, 2025). On these days, students/parents can find the Zoom or Google Meet link at the top of their Schoology page/course, along with all other necessary information for virtual learning.

Schoology for Virtual Instruction

Students are expected to utilize their district provided and/or personal device to log into Schoology and access their teacher’s virtual learning assignments/activities.

  • Students at the elementary schools should report to their homeroom teacher’s virtual course in Schoology by 8:50 a.m. to access a Zoom or Google Meet link. Teachers will then review the students’ schedule and virtual learning for the day.

  • Students at Northley Middle School should report to their homeroom teacher’s virtual course in Schoology by 8:05 a.m. to access a Zoom or Google Meet link. Students will continue to follow their flexible instruction schedule by accessing the appropriate teacher’s Schoology course.

  • Students at Sun Valley High School should report to their first period teacher’s virtual course in Schoology by 7:30 a.m. to access a Zoom or Google Meet link. Students will continue to follow their flexible instruction schedule by accessing the appropriate teacher’s Schoology course.
