Delaware County Reassessment
Countywide reassessment notices were mailed by Delaware County to property owners on July 1, 2020. The assessment values became effective on January 1, 2021. The new reassessment values represent current fair market values as of July 1, 2019. The purpose of the reassessment was to distribute property tax equally among properties based on current fair market values. The reassessed property values were generated by Delaware County, not by Penn-Delco School District.
The new reassessment values were utilized to determine the 2021 tax bills that were issued by the school district on July 1, 2021. A new millage rate was computed to properly decrease the tax rate so that no additional revenue is generated by the reassessment. Individual property owners may still see an increase or a decrease in their tax bills primarily due to the change in assessment and not the annual tax increase from the School District.

The 2021 Real Estate Tax Bills were mailed to Aston, Brookhaven, and Parkside property owners on July 1, 2021. If you have not received your tax bill by July 15th, please contact the tax office at 610-497-6300 ext. 1304. Contact us any time during business hours: 8:00 am until 4:00 pm daily. Summer hours differ (closed Fridays).
