Information about the recoupment process
-
The Penn-Delco School District Special Education Department is in the midst of the recoupment process. Unless additional data is warranted, your child’s case manager has now determined whether or not recoupment is required related to the March 13, 2020, mandatory school closure. In addition, an associated letter was sent home to indicate if initial recoupment is required.
If your child does not require recoupment, that is good news. That is not an indication that your child’s Individualized Education Plan (IEP) is being removed; there has not been regression when comparing recent data to the data noted on or before the mandatory school closure. For your convenience, we are including the associated document. You can reference pages 11 and 12 for what the process will look like moving forward for those that require recoupment.
