Staying safe

  • The Penn-Delco School District will continue to refer to public health guidance from the PA and Delaware County Departments of Health, as well as the CDC. Recently revised guidance has removed the recommendations to cohort and removed the expectation of strict limitations through social distancing. Close contact tracing and mass testing/screening programs are no longer required.

Parents should continue to inform your school nurse if you know that your child tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. At the most basic level, please be sure to keep your child home from school if he/she is sick or ill. Communities benefit when individual responsibility becomes the norm. Your cooperation in making sure that truly ill children are not attending school will benefit everyone.  Masks remain optional for all staff and students.

New information regarding COVID-19 and Health and Safety for the 2023-2024 academic year will be posted in this section of the Health Services tab.
