Student Reviews Selected in Cappies Program

Sun Valley Junior Gianni Palmarini and sophomore Tommy Christaldi have had their reviews of recent local high school theater productions selected for publication as part of the Cappies "Critics and Awards Program.” Gianni’s review of Episcopal Academy’s Peter and the Star Catcher will appear on the Cappies website, as will Tommy’s review of Dock Mennonite Academy’s production of Curtains. Tommy’s review of Antigone, performed at Unionville High School, will appear in The Indian Post, Unionville’s student newspaper. The review selection process is extremely competitive, with thirty-to-forty students at each show typically competing for three spots for publication. It is great to see the work of our students selected so early in the year!

The Cappies, "Critics and Awards Program," is a program through which high school theater and journalism students are trained as critics, attend shows at other schools, write reviews, and publish those reviews in local newspapers like The Philadelphia Inquirer, The Times of Delaware County, and The Delaware County Daily Times.
