At Parkside Elementary we are grateful to be located in a district that is committed to putting the individual needs of our children first. This commitment is evident in our abundant resources, excellent programs and dedicated school community.
Parkside Elementary is home to approximately 275 students who are enrolled in kindergarten through fifth grade. The facilities at Parkside are as superior as the educational programs. Our students have the privilege of attending a beautiful, well-maintained school that is outfitted with state of the art technology and security systems, along with classrooms and recreation areas that are equally as impressive. All of which add up to a positive learning environment.
In accordance with our excellent educational programs, I am proud to announce that Parkside Elementary has achieved AYP for the ninth consecutive year and received the Keystone Award from the Pennsylvania Department of Education. This award is symbolic of the hard work and efforts put forth by students, parents, staff and community. It is also a testament to the fact that as a school community we are truly partners in education.
The theme for the 2012/13 school year at Parkside Elementary is Wild by Nature. Throughout the year, classroom activities will integrate the theme across the curriculum through school-wide projects and focused assemblies.
